At a recent state executive meeting of the Akhila Bharathiya Santha Samithi in the state, religious leaders emphasized the need for Hindus to unite against what they termed ‘love jihad’ and religious conversions. Maha Mandaleshwara Swami Om Sri Vidyananda Saraswati, the state president, expressed concern over attempts to convert Hindu girls or drive them to suicide through love jihad.

The seer called on all Hindu organizations to raise awareness about these issues, highlighting that it is the duty of every Hindu to uphold national identity in line with Sanatana Dharma. He noted a rise in attacks against the Hindu community by extremist groups, urging the government to take decisive action to protect Hindu rituals and celebrations.

The seer criticized the Karnataka government’s handling of recent incidents, including the registration of an FIR against individuals celebrating the Ganesha festival in Nagamangala, and stated that Hindu society has lost faith in the government due to ongoing violence and unrest.

He accused political parties of pursuing appeasement policies for electoral gain, claiming such actions indirectly support extremist groups. The seer also called for improved recognition and protection for religious leaders, suggesting they be granted protocol status and police protection as needed.
