Action To Ban Plastic In Male Mahadeshwara’s Premises, Secretary Saraswathi

Sri Malemahadeswaraswamy Field Development Authority Secretary Saraswathi and DFO Dr Santosh Kumar inspected the site to make Sri Male Mahadeshwara Hill, a famous religious pilgrimage site of the state, a completely plastic-free area.

  Sri Kshetra Male Mahadeshwar Hill has been declared as plastic free zone. However, it was not possible to completely prevent the use of plastic. In this regard, in order to prevent the use of plastic in any way, the authority and the forest department jointly conducted a site inspection to construct a check post. Charulata Somal, who was the Deputy Commissioner had  ordered the forest department to open a check post at Talabetta. Accordingly, a site inspection was conducted near Thalabetta and Vadakehalla.

If a check post is constructed in the hill, plastic covers, plastic items, covers of snacks brought by the public can be checked and plastic wastes can be confiscated. Male Mahadeshwar Wildlife Sanctuary

Deputy Conservator Chandrasekhar Patil, Zonal Forest Officer Bharati Nandihalli. including others were present.

In Talabetta, both sides of the road and one side of the Vadake pit have been inspected, and under the leadership of ministers and senior officials, action will be taken to construct a check post after careful discussion, said Dr Santosh Kumar, DFO.

The Temple  Development Authority and Forest Department have done site inspection to ban plastic items in Mahadeshwar Hill. Under the guidance of District in-charge Minister K Venkatesh, a committee will be formed and strict action will be taken in the next few days to ban plastic completely, sad Saraswathi, Secretary of Sri Male Mahadeshwara Swamy Field Development Authority.
