Union Home Minister Amit Shah is set to inaugurate the Brahmaputra Riverfront beautification project in Guwahati on January 20, according to Assam’s Minister for Urban Development, Ashok Singhal. Singhal informed reporters about Shah’s upcoming visit while also assessing the progress of the development project. The Brahmaputra Riverfront beautification project is currently underway at the Pan Bazaar area in Guwahati. During his visit to the project site located on the former bungalow of the Guwahati Commissioner of Police, Minister Ashok Singhal reviewed the ongoing work. Spanning 1.2 km from the old Kamrup District Commissioner Bungalow to Kacharighat area, the riverfront project aims to create a vibrant space with features such as parks, relaxation spots, dining areas, venues for cultural events, and more.
