Thrilling Finale Expected In FMSCI Indian National Car Racing Championship

The Madras International Circuit is set for an exciting finale in the fourth and final round of the FMSCI Indian National Car Racing Championship 2023. With close battles anticipated in various categories, the weekend will feature seven races across six classes, including the headline MRF Formula categories (2000 and 1600), touring cars in three classes, and the Formula LGB 1300. In the F2000 category, Chennai’s Sandeep Kumar leads the points table with 118 points, followed by Arya Singh from Kolkata (93) and Chennai’s Chetan Korada (91). The F1600 championship is poised for a three-way showdown among Chetan Surineni (Bengaluru), Veer Amar Sheth (Mumbai), and Viswas Vijayaraj (Nellore). The Indian Touring Cars class sees Gurunath Meiyappan (Race Concepts) on the verge of clinching the championship, needing just five more points to secure the title. In the Super Stock class, Diljith TS (DTS Racing) has a comfortable lead, while the Indian Junior Touring Cars class features a close battle between Performance Racing teammates Akkineni Anand Prasad and Deepak Ravikumar. The Formula LGB 1300 category promises an intense championship battle with Diljith, Raghul Rangasamy (MSport), Viswas Vijayaraj (DTS Racing), and Deepak Ravikumar (Ahura Racing) competing for the title. MMSC president Ajit Thomas expressed gratitude to sponsors, competitors, media, and volunteer officials for their support throughout the season. He expects the final round to continue the trend of close, wheel-to-wheel racing as championship titles are up for grabs.
