The Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) has assured passengers of its readiness to provide assistance in case of emergencies. The security personnel are on high alert and prepared to respond promptly to any situation requiring help. Passengers can reach out to the control center through the following phone numbers in case of an emergency: 080-2519 1208, 080-2216 2258/2208, and the toll-free helpline 1800-425-12345. Moreover, a four-button emergency alarm system is installed in all Metro coaches, allowing passengers to communicate with the train operator for assistance during emergencies. This system ensures that help can be provided at the next station. The statement from BMRCL comes in the wake of an incident on December 7, where a woman passenger was assaulted by a man while disembarking at Nadaprabhu Kempegowda station. The security personnel promptly apprehended the assailant and handed him over to the nearest police station.
