Students Struggle For Transportation From Kavitala To Lingasuguri, Face Daily Commuting Issues

Must read

Kavitala

Students traveling from towns to Lingasuguri for school and college are encountering a significant transportation challenge, struggling to secure a seat on the bus and often forced to stand at the doors during their daily commute. Hundreds of students residing in villages like Kalangeri, Patapur, Hirehanigi, Goldinni, Hussainpur, Saidapur, Kaddoni Timmapur, Kavitala, Yaklaspur, Vatagal, Aminagada, Yatagal, Kachapura, Nelakola, Anandgal, and Pamanakallur in Maski taluk are grappling with daily transportation issues. Students pursuing various technical courses, including PUC, Graduation, ITI, and Nursing, find themselves waiting for buses from 7 am onwards. The absence of permission for student passes on inter-state buses, coupled with the overcrowding of other buses, forces them to travel without a seat and stand at the bus doors. Parents have raised concerns about their children consistently arriving late to college due to various factors, including the cancellation of buses from Lingasugur to Kavitahal and the prioritization of free travel for women passengers under the Shakti Yojana. They stress that the lack of adequate transportation is significantly impacting students’ academic progress and urge authorities to take appropriate action to address the issue.
