The Telangana Assembly elections are a prestige issue for national parties like the Congress and the BJP. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar have already campaigned extensively in the state. They are working hard to bring the Congress party to power. However, more than 500 farmers from the district will take out Telangana Chalo on November 21 to campaign against them.

Farmers’ organisations will organise a rally at Indira Park in Hyderabad, the capital of Telangana. The Congress had promised to solve the problems of farmers before the elections in Karnataka. In its manifesto, it had promised to withdraw the anti-farmer laws. But even after six months of the Congress government coming to power, the farmers’ issues are not being resolved. Laws that are detrimental to farmers are not being withdrawn.

They are also propagating that they are for the welfare of farmers. But in Karnataka, the situation is different. How did the Congress party harass the farmers here? The farmers of Telangana will be informed about the situation of the farmers. A list has also been prepared in this regard and it will be presented at the conference, the farmers said.

More than 10,000 farmers from various districts of the state, including Haveri, are expected to participate in the conference. More than 500 farmers from Haveri district will leave for Hyderabad by train from Hubli on November 21. We will highlight the failures of the state government at the conference. We will campaign against the Congress. Meanwhile, there is a severe drought in the state. It is not right for Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to visit Telangana for campaigning instead of trying to solve the problems of this region, the farmers said.
