Kannada Star Darshan Thogudeepa Faces Police Case After Dogs Bite Woman

Must read

Renowned Kannada film actor Darshan Thogudeepa has become entangled in a legal case following a complaint filed by a woman who was reportedly bitten by his dogs. The incident has led to the registration of a case at Bengaluru’s RR police station under IPC section 289, pertaining to Negligent Conduct with Respect to Animals. In this case, the unnamed caretaker of the dogs is the first accused, and Darshan is the second accused. Amita Jindal, the woman who filed the complaint against the actor, stated that she had visited Darshan’s residential neighborhood in Bengaluru for a function and had parked her car near an empty plot in the area. Upon returning to her car, she noticed three dogs at the site where she had parked. She mentioned having had an argument with the dogs’ caretaker over the parking area, which allegedly led to the dogs attacking her. According to her account, the first dog was untied and attacked her, and in the ensuing commotion, the second dog broke free and also bit her. She alleged that the caretaker took no action to prevent the dogs from attacking, even though he was aware of the dogs’ nature and left them untied. As a result of the dog bites, the woman sustained injuries to her stomach, prompting her to file the case against both the actor and the caretaker. This incident adds to the recent controversies surrounding the actor and raises concerns about pet ownership and the safety of individuals around animals.
