Cases of tiger wearing a nail-like pendant around their necks are making headlines. A picture of a Sullia Nagar Panchayat staff wearing a similar pendant is doing the rounds on social media. Forest officials are getting information about this.
A photo of Sullia Nagar Panchayat staff Shasikala wearing a pendant is going viral and forest officials are investigating the matter. Reacting to the video, Sullia Range Forest Officer Praveen Shetty said, as soon as Sasikala’s photo went viral, we summoned her to our office to ascertain the truth and took her into custody as a pendant. On the surface, it does not look like a tiger’s claw, instead it is like a tiger’s tooth.But it’s a little smaller. Shasikala says her mother gave it to her many years ago. We will send it for laboratory testing for testing. If it is original, we will take action, Forest Officer Praveen Shetty said.
