Jerusalem
Israeli champions Maccabi Tel Aviv have relocated their upcoming Euroleague home games to Belgrade in response to the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas, as confirmed by the Euroleague Basketball (EB) decision. The decision comes after Maccabi’s home game against Real Madrid in Round 6, originally scheduled for November 2, was postponed to an unspecified date. The team’s next four home games, against Bayern Munich, Olympiacos Piraeus, Barcelona, and Alba Berlin, will also be played in Serbia’s capital, at the Aleksandar Nikolic Hall, on their originally scheduled dates later in November. Maccabi received support from the Belgrade Municipality and the Serbian Government and will be working on implementing necessary security measures. EB will continue to monitor the situation and remain in contact with all involved parties, announcing any further modifications if required.
