Senior BJP leader and former Minister KS Eshwarappa asked why the BJP should not work to topple the Congress government in the state. He was speaking at a press conference  at District BJP office on Thursday.

When DK Shivakumar went to Belagavi, none of the MLAs, including the district in-charge Minister, were there. At the same time, the Government is not taking any steps to meet the power shortage. No new development work is going on. The ruling party’s MLAs don’t want a government at all. Even the people of the state do not want a government. Why can’t the BJP try to topple the government, he asked.

Today or tomorrow, DK Shivakumar will go to jail, he said, coming out of the probe into how much illegal assets and money he had amassed. They get angry if they go to jail and say that they are now on bail. Reacting to the crores of rupees found in the IT raids, he said, hundreds of crores of rupees have been seized.   If you investigate it, it will be known. DK Shivakumar has no courtesy. There is goondaism in their reply too. Is it wrong to make allegations against him,  he asked.

I am not saying that the Chief Minister  and the Deputy Chief Minister are directly thieves. The funds have been released by the BBMP. Its commission is Rs 42 crore. Does Ramalinga Reddy have the courage to speak against our State President, he asked.

I will not answer to headless people like Ayanur Manjunath. They have no morals. He said how many people had left the party. MLA Channabasappa, BJP District President TD Meghraj and others were present
