The Andhra Pradesh High Court has adjourned the hearing on the bail petition of Telugu Desam Party (TDP) supremo and former Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu in the Skill Development Corporation scam case. The bail petition was previously dismissed by the Vijayawada Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) court on October 9, and Naidu has challenged this decision in the High Court. The new hearing date has been set for October 19. Chandrababu Naidu was arrested by the CID on September 9 in connection with the Skill Development scam, which allegedly occurred during his tenure as Chief Minister. He has been in judicial custody and is currently held at the Rajahmundry Central Jail. Simultaneously, the Vijayawada ACB court has begun proceedings on a petition seeking information about Naidu’s health condition. The court has directed the CID to respond to the petition filed by Naidu’s lawyer. Naidu’s family members expressed concern about his health and mentioned that they had not received a comprehensive health report. They asserted that the authorities had not submitted the report to the court or to them. Furthermore, Naidu’s family demanded copies of reports prepared by jail authorities and a team of doctors who assessed his health on October 12. They informed the court that jail authorities were withholding relevant information about Naidu’s health condition, including the doctors’ recommendation to provide a cooler environment for him in the jail.
