Recent reports highlight tensions between Haryana Leader of Opposition Bhupinder Singh Hooda and Congress MP Kumari Selja regarding the party’s candidate for chief minister. In an interview with Lallantop, Selja mentioned that it has been a while since she last spoke with Hooda. She noted that their communication diminished significantly after she stepped down from her role as party president.

Selja explained, it’s been a long time since I talked to Bhupinder Singh Hooda. It’s not about a bad political relationship; rather, I was in Delhi while he was in Haryana. We used to discuss things when I was the PCC president and he was the CLP leader, but our conversations nearly ceased after I left that role.

When asked about the current atmosphere within the Congress party in Haryana, Selja emphasized that the political climate isn’t shaped by just one or two individuals. Creating the atmosphere of the Congress involves many factors, not just one or two faces. While some individuals are important, every organization experiences internal tensions, she remarked.

Furthermore, she dismissed rumors of joining the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), affirming her loyalty to Congress, which she credits for her political journey.
