The 9th edition of Bangalore Medical Congress was organised by the Command Hospital Air Force (CHAF), Bengaluru from 14 -15 October 2023. The theme for this year Congress was Advances in Geriatric Medicine. The highlights of this conference were Research methodology workshops, quiz, symposia, debates, poster presentation competition and deliberations by stalwarts from medical and non-medical fields, sharing their perspective.
Director General Armed Forces Medical Services Lt Gen Daljit Singh inaugurated the event, while the welcome address was given by Air Vice Marshal S Shankar, Commandant, CHAF Bengaluru.
The prestigious Maj (Dr.) Achyut Nuggihalli Memorial Oration was given by Dr Alexander Thomas, the Founder and Patron Association of Healthcare Providers India. This session was co-chaired by DGMS (Air) Air Marshal Rajesh Vaidya and ACAS (Med) Air Vice Marshal MS Sridhar.
The Bangalore Congress is an endeavour towards a long felt need of having a platform for civil military cooperation for enriching the Armed Forces Medical Services.
