Former Minister ST Somashekar said that Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala Village Development Organisation is working hard for empowerment of Women.Â
He was speaking at mass Satyanarayana Pooja celebrations and religious meeting at Thagachikuppe near Kumbalagodu.
The programme was arranged by Taluk Pragati Bhandu Self Help Groups Federation under the auspices of Anche Palya Zone Union.
Somashekar praised Veerendra Hegde of Dharmasthala for the development of rural areas as a ray of hope for the lives of the rural people. The poor and middle class people are not able to perform Satyanarayana Pooja individually. By performing mass Satyanarayana Pooja, the people will get the fruits of their religious activities. District Director Jayakar Shetty spoke about the background of Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala Constituency, Dharmasthala Village Development Plan, the way it has grown in the last 42 years, various programmes of the project, how the members of the association should do business, the facilities available from the village development plan, and gave detailed information to the members about the activities in the village development plan.
On the same occasion, MLA ST Somasekhar distributed a two-wheeler to two members.
Ramanagara Zone Director Muralidhar, Satyanarayana Pooja Committee President Pushpalatha, K Gollahalli Panchayat President Chaudamma, Trust Supervisor Nagesh, Village Leaders Chandru, Post Office Zone Service Representatives, Pooja Samiti office bearers and members of the Sangh were present.
