Fighting Is Morale For Women, Minister Lakshmi Hebbalkar

Struggle is moral strength for a woman, Lakshmi Hebbalkar, Minister of Women and Child Development, Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities and Senior Citizens, has opined that women should get their needs through struggle. Speaking at the Kadali Mahila Samavesh and Kadali Award Ceremony held on Friday, the Minister said that my struggle is the main reason for me to grow to this extent today.

I feel that women’s self-reliance is the most important need of today. The minister said that if a woman is able to act as she pleases with good intentions and spend as she pleases, that is self-reliance.

The Minister said that nothing is impossible if a woman sets her mind to it.   The Minister said that he would give full cooperation to the Kadali Women’s Forum. Responding to the organizers’ request for grant from the government, the Minister said that if there is an provision to grant grant from the Department of Women and Child Welfare, she will definitely respond. 

Dancer Vyjayanthi Kashi was felicitated with Kadali award and singer Sangeeta Katti was honored with Silver Festival Honorary Award.

On this occasion, Jagadguru Sri Shivaratri Desikendra Mahaswamy of Suttur Math, Akhil Bharat Sharan Sahitya Parishad Honorary Advisor Nadoja Dr. GoRu Channabasappa,   Akhil Bharat Sharan Sahitya Parishad President Apparava Akkon, City Sahitya Parishad   President KV Nagarajamurthy, Kadali Women’s Forum President Pramila Garadi were present.
