MLA ST Somashekhar Expresses Dissatisfaction With BJP-JDS Alliance During Maternal Health Event

In an unexpected turn of events, MLA S.T. Somashekhar has openly expressed his personal dissatisfaction with the alliance between the Janata Dal Secular (JDS) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Speaking at an event in Doddabele village, which was attended by more than 50 pregnant women, the legislator from the Yeshavantpur Assembly Constituency, S.T. Somashekhar, shared his reservations about the alliance between the two political parties.

During his address, Somashekhar highlighted the historical rivalry between the Congress party and the JDS, emphasizing that the Congress has consistently opposed the JDS over the years. He further noted that there is a notable lack of harmony among JDS and BJP workers, contributing to his personal disapproval of the alliance.

While addressing the audience of pregnant women, Somashekhar also stressed the importance of maternal health and safe motherhood. He encouraged the women to prioritize their well-being and consume nutritious food during their pregnancy, highlighting various government programs designed to benefit pregnant women.

The event, held at the Anganwadi center of Doddabele village under the jurisdiction of the Gollahalli Gram Panchayat, saw the presence of local officials, including H. Gollahalli Gram Panchayat President P. Nagesh and other members of the panchayat. The MLA concluded his address by extending his well wishes to the pregnant women in attendance, emphasizing the significance of maternal health and nutrition.
