On September 29, metro service between Mysore Road and Kengeri stations on the Purple Line of the Bengaluru Metro will be temporarily suspended. The suspension is a result of the Southern Circle Metro Railway Safety Commissioner conducting safety inspections on the newly constructed line segment between Kengeri and Challaghatta metro stations. Consequently, there will be no metro service available between these stations throughout the day. The suspension of service, however, will not impact train services on the Green Line. The release issued by the authorities also noted that, in addition to the above-mentioned suspension, metro service will also be temporarily suspended between Krishnarajpur and Garudacharpalya on September 29, 2023. This suspension is due to the statutory safety inspection of the newly constructed line segment between Kengeri and Challaghatta metro stations. During this period, full-day metro services will be unavailable between Krishnarajpur and Garudacharpalya metro stations. However, regular train service will continue between Garudacharpalya and Whitefield (Kadugodi) metro stations without interruption. Once again, this suspension will not affect Green Line train services. The authorities have requested metro passengers to take note of these changes and apologize for any inconvenience caused due to the temporary suspension of services. Safety inspections are essential to ensure the well-being of passengers and the reliable operation of the metro system.
