The Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) is preparing for a grand opening ceremony of the Ram temple in Ayodhya, scheduled for January 2024. The VHP plans to invite 2,000 seers from 150 different sects to participate in the event. The Sant Pampark Vibhag will be responsible for contacting and extending invitations to these seers. In addition, the VHP intends to connect with five lakh villages across India for the Ram Lalla idol consecration ceremony in Ayodhya, similar to the Kar Seva and Shila Pujan events organized during the Ram Mandir movement in the 1990s. VHP leaders also plan to appoint office bearers in all five lakh villages as part of an outreach program, including the ‘Shaurya Yatra’ of Bajrang Dal, to consolidate their presence in these areas.
