Heavy Industries Minister M B Patil has said that the party is taking note of the move of party leader and MLC BK Hariprasad in a veiled attack on Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and will take an appropriate decision in this regard.
Hariprasad is a senior leader of the party. He was AICC General Secretary, Rajya Sabha member and is currently serving as the leader of the party in the Legislative Council. Such a thing should not have come from him. The party’s National leaders will not sit idle listening to him, he said.
Party leaders Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge, Surjewala and Venugopal are all close to Hariprasad. He should have spoken about all issues within the party. But, they have gone to the street. This is not right. They will have to face the consequences, Patil said.
He also made it clear that there was no infighting in the Congress. Senior Congress leader BK Hariprasad had lashed out at Chief Minister Siddaramaiah at a meeting of like-minded people from Idiga, Billava, Namdhari, Dheevara and Most Backward Classes at the Palace Grounds in Bengaluru.
