Roger Binny, President of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), visited Lahore to attend Asia Cup matches and commended the hospitality of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). During his visit, Binny discussed the cricketing relations between India and Pakistan, emphasizing the significance of their matches in the cricketing world. Binny, along with Vice-President Rajeev Shukla, arrived in Lahore on Monday at the invitation of PCB Management Committee Chairman Zaka Ashraf. Speaking at the PCB Gala Dinner at the Governor’s House, Binny expressed his gratitude for the invitation and conveyed greetings from the BCCI and Indian cricket lovers. He highlighted the immense popularity of India-Pakistan cricket matches, stating that when these two teams face each other, everything else comes to a standstill in both countries. Binny also thanked the PCB for its warm hospitality during their visit. As part of their Lahore tour, the BCCI officials attended an Asia Cup match at Gaddafi Stadium on Tuesday. It’s worth noting that due to security concerns, the BCCI prefers not to hold matches in Pakistan. Only four out of thirteen Asia Cup matches are scheduled to take place in Pakistan, with the remaining games hosted by Sri Lanka in Pallekele and Colombo.
