Krishi Mela, the annual event of University of Agricultural Sciences, will be held for four-days on the main campus of the varsity from September 9 to 12.
A seed mela will also be held to facilitate farmers get quality seeds for rabi sowing.
UAS said Krishi Mela will focus on nutri cereals production, value addition and marketing, organically grown crops value addition and marketing.
In addition to this, the farm fair will highlight bio-fertilisers and bio-pesticides, integrated crops, nutrient, pest and disease management, natural and organic farming, soil fertility and conservation of soil health, rainwater harvesting and groundwater recharge.The Krishi Mela will also focus on hi-tech horticulture, fruits and flowers show and world of fascinating insects, nutri-garden, terrace garden and vertical garden, improved water management practices for higher yield and water use efficiency, rabi crop technologies, conservation of resources through integrated watershed development, use of improved farm equipment and Kisan drone, farmers innovations, dialogue with progressive farmers and farm women, Farm advisory services by experts and Agri startups, Agro forestry, animal husbandry, exhibition of breeds and fodder crops technologies and community science technologies for empowerment of women.
