In a significant move to address public safety concerns, an FIR has been registered against the construction work being carried out near the Ideal Homes Petrol Bank in Kenchanahalli, Rajarajeshwari Nagar. The construction, overseen by an individual named Manjegowda, has reportedly commenced without the necessary approvals and permits, leading to severe disruptions in the area.

The construction activities have involved earthwork excavation, reaching depths of 6 to 8 feet, which has resulted in the collapse of approximately 70 feet of pedestrian pathways and drainage systems. This situation has created considerable inconvenience for local residents and pedestrians attempting to navigate the affected areas. Additionally, there are concerns that the BMTC bus stop located at the front of the drainage may also collapse, further exacerbating the situation.

Estimates suggest that the damage caused by this unauthorized construction could lead to losses of up to ₹20 lakh for the local authorities. Furthermore, the lack of precautionary measures during the construction process poses risks to adjacent houses, which could also suffer damage if the situation is not promptly addressed. Given the seriousness of the violations, an FIR has been lodged at the Rajarajeshwari Nagar Police Station against the building owners. The authorities are urging all construction entities to adhere to safety regulations and obtain the necessary approvals to prevent future incidents that threaten public safety and infrastructure.
