Agriculture Department Secretary Anbukumar in the meeting gave many suggestions regarding drought management and implementation of Agriculture Department schemes.
The secretary drew the minister’s attention to the steps to be taken to strengthen and expand agricultural producers’ associations and increase the value of their products. He gave suggestions on the expansion of agricultural mechanization along with cooperative farming system, agricultural innovation, and effective implementation of Krishi Bhagya Yojana. Commissioner of the Department YS Patil presented the details about the weather, rainfall, crop situation of the department and the implementation of the department’s projects to the meeting.
In the Agriculture Department progress review meeting, Department Director Dr. Putra, Watershed Development Department Commissioner Girish, Director Srinivas, Karnataka State Seed Corporation Managing Director Devaraju and other senior officers participated.
