A youth was stabbed to death near KHB Colony in Shikaripura town after he was called for talks over Sunday’s brawl. The deceased has been identified as Mohammad Jafar (32), a resident of Jannat Gali in Shikaripura. He is survived by his wife and two children.
A scuffle broke out between two groups in Shikaripura. Two groups have again gathered near KHB Colony in Shikaripura to hold talks in this regard. At this point, the conversation has grown and reached the point of hand-to-hand shaking. A man from the opposite group held Mohammad Jafar firmly from behind. Another stabbed him in the stomach.
Zafar was lying in a pool of blood and died on the way to the hospital. Shikaripura Municipal Council member Roshan has lodged a complaint against a total of eight people at Shikaripura City Police Station. The two accused are residents of Shivamogga. The police received information that the accused were under the influence of ganja and two teams have been formed to nab the accused.
