Minister of Women and Child Welfare Lakshmi Hebbalkar appealed to all to join hands to successfully organise the implementation of the much awaited Griha Lakshmi scheme of the State Government.
Speaking at a meeting of Ministers and MLAs of Mysore, Kodagu, Chamarajanagar and Mandya districts held on Monday regarding the implementation of the project, the Minister requested that everyone should join hands to make the programme a success. She said that every Anganwadi teacher and helper has been instructed to call at least 7 women, and in view of the arrival of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, there should be no shortage of anything in the programme. 1,50,000 women will participate in the ceremony and requested the MLAs and leaders to pay attention to providing mid-day meal, water and other basic amenities to the women coming from four districts.
