Chikkamagalur
An incident took place on Sunday in the city’s Uppalli where people came to see a huge fish weighing approximately 340 kg. People are surprised to find Ambur sea fish, which is a rare species of fish, in a shop here. Meanwhile, customers stood in queues and bought fish.
This is the first time a trader has brought 340 kg Ambur sea fish from Mangalore. 600 rupees per kg of fish was fixed for this. As the demand of the customers increased, the customers bought the fish and took it away even though it cost Rs 1,000 per kg.
The public who saw the huge fish were seen taking photos on their mobile phones. Ambur sea fish is exported from India to various countries including Saudi Arabia.
