BIDAR
In response to severe crop damage caused by a lack of seasonal monsoon rains, Bidar South MLA Dr. Shailendra Beldale conducted field visits across multiple villages, including Ashtura, Malkapur, and Sultanpur, to assess the agricultural losses faced by local farmers firsthand.
Accompanied by local officials and department representatives, the MLA walked through dried-up farmlands to examine stunted crops and evaluate the true extent of the damage. During direct interactions, farmers shared their financial struggles regarding heavy sowing costs, lack of rainfall, and mounting debts. The MLA assured them that their grievances would be strongly presented to the state government.
Emphasizing the need for immediate administrative action, Dr. Beldale instructed agricultural and revenue authorities to conduct a transparent, scientific, and field-level crop damage survey. He stressed that no eligible farmer should be left out of relief measures and demanded that the government announce a compensation of fifty thousand rupees per acre to help families recover.
Additionally, the MLA inspected rural development projects under the VBJ Ramaji Yojana, reviewing worker attendance, project quality, and work progress. He strictly directed officials to ensure that daily wage payments are distributed to rural workers without any unnecessary delays. Local panchayat leaders and department officers were present during the inspection tour.
