Karnataka Lok Bhavan in Bengaluru will be open to the general public from August 16 to 18, officials said. Visitors can access designated areas between 5.30 p.m. and 7.30 p.m. on all three days.
The opening is being organised to mark the 80th Independence Day. R. Prabhu Shankar, Special Secretary to Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot, said visitors must comply with security and entry guidelines.
“All visitors shall compulsorily undergo security screening and frisking before entering the Lok Bhavan premises.”
Visitors must carry a valid government-issued identity card, including Aadhaar, and present it for verification at the entry point. They will be allowed only along prescribed routes and must maintain silence, discipline and decorum.
Private taxis will not be allowed inside the premises. Visitors are also prohibited from carrying bags, backpacks, food items, tobacco products, cigarettes, alcohol and other restricted materials.
Professional cameras, video cameras, laptops and electronic or electrical devices are also prohibited. Sharp or metallic objects, matchboxes, lighters, inflammable materials, arms and ammunition will not be permitted.

Visitor guidelines
Carry a valid government-issued ID and undergo mandatory security screening. Follow the designated route and maintain discipline and decorum. Bags, backpacks, food, pan, gutka, tobacco, cigarettes and alcohol are prohibited. Professional and video cameras, laptops, electronic devices, sharp and metallic objects, matchboxes, lighters, inflammable materials, arms and ammunition are also banned. Private taxis cannot enter the Lok Bhavan premises during the public-visit period.
