KUNDGOL
A sanitation facility built under the Swachh Bharat Mission in Ramankoppa Gram Panchayat has become non-functional, according to locals. The complex, constructed in 2020 at a cost of around Rs 12 lakh, was meant for waste collection and disposal from four nearby villages. However, residents said the unit has not been properly maintained or officially put to use. Instead, garbage from nearby bars and restaurants is being dumped outside the site. Locals also pointed out damaged walls and incomplete construction work. They have urged district officials to inspect the facility and take immediate steps to restore proper waste management services in the area.
