A man was arrested for allegedly molesting a woman living in the neighbouring house by hugging her from behind at a residential building on Ranga Rao Road in Shankarpura. According to police, the accused, identified as Puttaraju, and the victim’s family were tenants in the same building. The incident reportedly took place while the woman was washing utensils outside her house. Police said Puttaraju allegedly hugged the woman from behind, triggering an argument. Her husband, Nandish, confronted the accused, following which a scuffle broke out between the two men. During the fight, Nandish sustained injuries and was admitted to hospital. Based on his complaint, Shankarpura police registered a case and arrested Puttaraju. Further investigation is underway.
