Passengers in Palakkad division should check train timings carefully as maintenance work will affect services in May and June 2026. Several trains will be cancelled or delayed due to track repairs. The Shoranur–Nilambur MEMU service will not run on Sundays in May. The Rajyarani Express from Thiruvananthapuram will stop at Shoranur Junction on Saturdays, with the final stretch cancelled. The Mangala Lakshadweep Express to Ernakulam will face delays of up to one hour on selected Saturdays and thirty minutes on weekdays. The West Coast Express to Chennai will also be delayed by one hour on Sundays during May. Railway officials said the changes are needed for safety and smoother operations in the future. They advised passengers to check updated schedules on official apps or websites before travel to avoid inconvenience at stations during repair work periods. Passengers are urged to plan journeys carefully in advance always.
