Panic gripped residents after the body of an unidentified man was found stuffed inside a bag in BDA Layout, Lakshmipur under Gangammanagudi police station limits on Friday. Locals on a morning walk noticed stray dogs dragging the bag and alerted police. Officers rushed to the spot and began an investigation, suspecting the victim was murdered and dumped. Forensic Science Laboratory and SOCO teams inspected the scene. The body was recovered from a deserted area, and efforts are underway to establish identity. Police said the शव will be sent for postmortem after preliminary examination.
