Talks of building a tunnel in Bengaluru city have been the subject of much debate of late. However, Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Council Chalavadi Narayanaswamy has questioned whether it is worth paying 147 people working in the cemetery or not.
Speaking to the media on Wednesday, he said, “The Congress, which talks about digging a tunnel at a cost of thousands of crores, has not paid salaries to 147 people. Many have been cheated by not paying salaries. Many have committed suicide. Are the in-charge ministers going to the districts? Can’t you close the potholes?”
Accusing the Amity of using tunnels as a means of extortion, he said meetings are being held everywhere to send money for the Bihar elections. Dinner parties and breakfast meetings are being held. He analyzed that Rajanna has said that the Congress office should be locked up.
