BNCC acts to clean Bengaluru roads

On Sunday, BNCC Commissioner Pommala Sunil Kumar conducted an inspection of the Sampigehalli–Chokkanahalli Main Road, highlighting the Greater Bengaluru Authority’s ongoing commitment to maintaining clean and safe urban spaces. During his visit, the commissioner observed debris accumulation and noticeable black spots along the roadside, which posed a hazard to pedestrians and diminished the aesthetic appeal of the area.

Following the inspection, Pommala Sunil Kumar instructed officials to take immediate remedial action. The BNCC team promptly mobilized to address the concerns, focusing on clearing the black spots and removing accumulated debris. Workers also undertook beautification measures, including proper leveling and cleaning of the roadside, ensuring a more hygienic and visually appealing environment for local residents.

Local commuters and residents welcomed the swift action, noting that cleaner roads not only improve public health but also contribute to the overall image of the neighborhood. The initiative reflects the city’s proactive approach to addressing urban maintenance issues while prioritizing the safety and well-being of its citizens.

Officials have reiterated that similar inspections and cleanup drives will continue across other parts of Bengaluru, particularly in areas prone to waste accumulation and road damage. Residents are encouraged to support these initiatives by avoiding littering and reporting areas in need of immediate attention. The Greater Bengaluru Authority emphasized that such efforts are part of a broader plan to ensure cleaner, safer, and more sustainable urban spaces across the city, combining efficient municipal action with community awareness.
