Pavankumar Bhimappa Bajanthri formally assumed charge as the Chief Justice of the Patna High Court on Sunday, following an oath-taking ceremony held at the Raj Bhavan. The oath was administered by Bihar Governor Arif Mohammad Khan in the presence of key state leaders and dignitaries.
The swearing-in function witnessed the attendance of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary, and several senior officials from the judiciary and state administration. A formal notification regarding Bajanthri’s appointment was issued by the Union Ministry of Law and Justice on Saturday, paving the way for his elevation to the top judicial post in Bihar.
