Mysuru officials extend formal invitations for grand Dasara 2025 celebrations statewide.
Preparations for the world-famous Mysuru Dasara celebrations are gaining momentum, with the Mysuru district administration formally extending invitations to prominent dignitaries. On Thursday, a delegation from Mysuru called on leaders at Vidhana Soudha in Bengaluru to personally hand over the official invitation for the state festival. The delegation included Mysuru Deputy Commissioner Lakshmikant Reddy, Zilla Panchayat CEO Mukesh Kumar, City Police Commissioner Seema Latkar, Superintendent of Police Vishnuvardhan, and Chamundeshwari Development Authority Secretary Roopa. They presented the traditional invitation card, extending their warm welcome to attend the festivities, while also honoring the invitees in a symbolic gesture of respect.
This year’s Dasara, scheduled to commence later this month, is expected to attract lakhs of visitors from across India and abroad. The 10-day festival, steeped in history and culture, showcases Mysuru’s rich heritage through the grand Jamboo Savari, cultural performances, exhibitions, and illumination of the royal city.
Officials noted that extensive arrangements are being made to ensure smooth conduct of the celebrations, including enhanced security, traffic management, and tourist facilities. With dignitaries and officials personally extending invitations, the event promises to reflect both the traditional grandeur and modern organization that Mysuru Dasara is known for.
