The much-awaited Kannada film “S/O Muthanna” is all set to hit theatres on September 12, releasing simultaneously in three languages — Kannada, Telugu, and Malayalam. Produced by Purathan Films and directed by Srikanth Hunsur, the film stars Pranam Devaraj, son of veteran actor Devaraj, in the lead role alongside actress Khushi Ravi of “Diya” fame.
The trailer was recently launched at Victory Cinemas, drawing film enthusiasts and members of the cast and crew. Speaking at the event, senior actor Rangayana Raghu praised the team, calling the experience special. He also highlighted Khushi Ravi’s performance and expressed confidence in director Srikanth Hunsur’s future in Kannada cinema.
Lead actor Pranam Devaraj shared that working with Rangayana Raghu, who plays his father in the film, was like learning from a real-life mentor. He described “S/O Muthanna” as a beautiful family experience and assured audiences that the film carries both emotion and entertainment. He added that the songs, teaser, and now the trailer have already received positive responses.
Originally scheduled for release on August 22, the film was postponed after Malayalam distributor Shaan expressed interest in releasing it in Kerala, leading to the decision for a multi-language launch.
Actress Khushi Ravi said the film’s family-centric storyline will appeal to audiences, especially as such stories are making a comeback in Kannada cinema. Cinematographer Skating Krishna, editor Harish Komme, and music director Sachin Basrur are part of the technical team.
