Tamil Nadu is buzzing with excitement as fans of superstar Rajinikanth gear up for the release of his film Coolie on August 14. In Trichy, the energy reached spiritual heights with fans gathering at the Srirangam Vinayagar Temple for a special pooja.
Holding posters of Rajinikanth, affectionately called “Thalaiva,” fans prayed for the film’s success and the actor’s good health. One fan shared, “We performed a special pooja for our superstar ahead of Coolie. We hope the movie becomes a huge hit.”
The trailer of Coolie, released earlier this month, has thrilled audiences with Rajinikanth’s intense look, high-energy action, and powerful dialogues. The film features Nagarjuna as the villain and marks Rajinikanth’s first A-rated film in years, promising raw, unfiltered action.
A major highlight is Rajinikanth’s reunion with Aamir Khan after nearly 30 years. Aamir plays Dahaa, and his rugged new look has already created a buzz online. The two last worked together in the 1995 film Aatank Hi Aatank.
Produced by Kalanithi Maran under Sun Pictures, Coolie will clash with War 2, starring Hrithik Roshan and Jr. NTR, making this Independence Day weekend a thrilling box office battle.
