Singer Abhijeet Sawant, the first-ever winner of Indian Idol, has sung his first-ever title track for a television serial, and he’s calling it a special milestone in his career. The song is for the Zee Marathi show Veen Doghantli Tutena.
“The first time is always special,” Abhijeet shared, expressing joy at lending his voice to a TV serial for the first time. “Getting this opportunity from a channel like Zee Marathi, especially as I complete 20 years in the music industry, is truly a blessing.”
He added that the audience’s response has already been heartwarming, just days after the song’s release. “When you create a song with meaning and it touches people, that’s real success,” he said.
Abhijeet is also celebrating his 20-year music journey with the release of a new song, Paisa Themba Themba Gala. The track gives a modern twist to Dada Kondke’s iconic hit Dhagala Lagali Kala, blending nostalgia with fresh beats.
Known for hits like Mar Jaawan Mit Jaawan, and albums like Aapka Abhijeet Sawant and Junoon, he has also dabbled in acting with films like Lottery and TV appearances in CID and Kaisa Yeh Pyaar Hai.
