BELAGAVI
In a shocking incident, a youth was beaten to death by his own father and elder brother after he was harassing his family members. The deceased has been identified as Somayya Mahalingaiah Hiremath (24), a resident of Hidakal village in Rayabaga taluk of the district. The accused, identified as Mahalingaiah Gurusiddaiah Hiremath and Basaiah Hiremath, have been taken into custody. A case has been registered at Harugeri Police station.
Somaiya demanded money from his family for drinking alcohol. He used to get drunk every day and fight at home throughout the night and his family members were upset with his behaviour.   His father Mahalingaiah Gurusiddaiah Hiremath hit an alcoholic on the head,  Somaiya died on the spot. The deceased youth was cremated. Later, the deceased’s father and brothers were taken into custody after the villagers lodged a complaint with the Police. District SP Sanjeev Patil told   media persons that the Police have seized parts of the skeleton from the crematorium   and are continuing the investigation.
