Former Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy has said that the JD(S) will not be affected in the constituency as BJP MLC Baburao Chinchanasur is a Congress ghar wapsi. Speaking to media persons at the residence of MLA Naganagouda Kandakura here, he said that the historic Pancharatna Yatra held at Yaragola village is an example of how people and youth are in favour of JD(S) due to the development works of JD(S) MLA Naganagouda Kandakura and the concern for sharanu Gowda Kandakura’s constituency.
Baburao Chinchansur had said that he would defeat Kharge. Now that they have been bedridden, it looks like there is a shortage of a Congress candidate here. We are confident that our Sharanu Gowda Kandakura will win by a large margin this time. Baburao joined the BJP saying that he would include his Koli caste in the ST category and enjoyed all the power. But that’s what they did. What will they answer to their society next. The people of the constituency will show in the elections how they will be taught a lesson, he said.
The lack of candidates in the BJP and the Congress is glaring. The Congress is doing ‘Operation Hasta’ ahead of the elections. Taking a jibe at national parties, he said that the BJP will do a lotus operation after the election results are out. The government is highlighting the development of the state in advertisements. He lamented that the priority given to advertisements should have been shown to the people and in favour of the development of the state.
