MCCCC Designated As Centre Of Excellence

The Manipal Comprehensive Cancer Care Centre (MCCCC) of Kasturba Hospital, has been designated as a centre of excellence in supportive care in cancer by the Multinational Association of Supportive Care in Cancer (MASCC). This prestigious recognition is a testament to MCCCC’s unwavering commitment to providing exceptional cancer care to patients. This is the first designated Centre in Asia.

Dr HS Ballal is Pro Chancellor of Manipal Academy of Higher Education, handed over the certificate to Dr Naveen S Salins, Associate Dean.  KMC, Coordinator, MCCCC and Professor and Head of the Department of Palliative Medicine and Supportive Care and said, we are honored to receive this recognition from MASCC. It is a testament to our unwavering commitment to providing exceptional care to our patients. Our team is dedicated to advancing the science of supportive care in cancer and improving the quality of life for patients and their families.

Vice Chancellor of MAHE, Manipal Lt Gen Dr MD Venkatesh stated, we are pleased to get this honour from MASCC. It is a credit to our team’s hard work and commitment to providing cancer patients and their families with the best quality of care.  

Dr Sharath K Rao, Pro Vice Chancellor (Health Sciences),  MCCCC is a state-of-the-art cancer care facility that offers comprehensive cancer care services to patients in the region. The centre is equipped with the latest technology and staffed by a team of experienced physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals who are dedicated to providing personalized care that meets the unique needs of each patient.
