New Delhi
A Delhi court gave instructions to the Economic Offences Department of the Delhi Police to file an FIR against IREO Private Limited and its MD Lalit Goyal in response to a case brought by Bhaskar Pramanik, the former chairman of Microsoft India, relating the IREO Gurugram Hills project.

Pramanik, who paid Rs 7.15 crore for the project, claims that the project, which was launched in 2012, is still unfinished and that he has not yet received possession of his apartment.
The project was started in 2012 by IREO Pvt Ltd, in accordance with a ruling made by Punit Pahwa, Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, Saket court. Within 42 months of the contract’s signing, possession was required to be offered. One unit in the project cost Rs 8 crore in total. Pramanik received an apartment in the project after paying the booking deposit of Rs 85 lakh. The complainant and the accused company then both signed the builder-buyer agreement. According to the court ruling issued on February 23, a police investigation was necessary due to the seriousness of the allegations.
Thus, Pramanik’s lawsuit had some substance, and the court noted in its judgment that there was also a chance that other victims may have contributed their money to the initiative.
