The district administration has announced that Sri Maharshi Valmiki Jayanti will be celebrated at the district level with a special program on October 7. The event is scheduled to take place at Kannada Bhavan on B.B. Road in Chikkaballapur city, bringing together a diverse range of participants, including senior officials, elected representatives, and community leaders.
The District Scheduled Castes Welfare Officer emphasized the active involvement of leaders and office bearers from the Sri Maharshi Valmiki community, highlighting their significant role in the program. The officer also called upon members of the media and citizens from across the district to participate and contribute to the success of the celebration.
Valmiki Jayanti will be observed with devotion and respect, honoring the enduring legacy of Maharshi Valmiki, revered as the Adi Kavi and the author of the Ramayana. Authorities have appealed for cooperation from all stakeholders to ensure the smooth and meaningful conduct of the event.
The district administration expressed confidence that participation from all sections of society will make this year’s celebration a memorable and unifying occasion for Chikkaballapur.
