An elderly couple in Manjunath Nagar allegedly died by suicide on Wednesday night with police suspecting financial stress linked to medical expenses as a possible reason. Eshwar Achari, 73, and his wife Gowri, 66, were found dead at their residence after one daughter failed to receive their calls the next morning. Police said Gowri had been bedridden due to illness and the family was managing treatment costs. A case has been registered by Basaveshwaranagar police, who are investigating the incident further.
