Terror Outfits Behind Udaipur Killing: CM Bommai

The Udaipur killing is an inhuman and dastardly act. It is not just the individuals, there are terrorist outfits behind this killing, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said.

Speaking to media persons Bommai said, it is an act of terror. There is a larger international conspiracy behind it. It needs to be exposed and the guilty should be hanged. The Rajasthan Government should conduct a thorough investigation and punish the perpetrators of this heinous act.

Probe on PM’s directive

Reacting to reports about the Union Home  ministry seeking documents from the Contractors Association on the alleged commission in tenders issue, Bommai said, I have no information about it. Let them provide the documents, no problem. Probe would be conducted on the Prime Minister’s directive.

Replying to a question on BT Lalitha Naik’s demand not to hold a test for recruitment of PSIs, Bommai said, let investigation be completed first. I have conveyed this very clearly.

Extending GST Compensation To States

The GST Council meeting discussed the issue of extending GST compensation to states. However a final decision in this regard would be taken in August, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said.

Speaking to media persons Bommai said, the GST Legal Committee has taken measures to sort out the legal impediments, the recommendations of the Fitment Committee have been accepted.

‘Eco Ambassador’ title for Saalumarada Thimmakka

Saalumarada Thimmakka would be bestowed the title of ‘Eco Ambassador’ with the status of a minister of state with vehicle and all the facilities to work for the cause of environmental protection, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said.

The Chief Minister was speaking at a function to celebrate the 111th birthday of Saalumarada Thimmakka and present the ‘National Greenery Award-2020’ to Padmashree awardee Thimmakka.

The state government would bear the expenses of Thimmakka if she travels to other states as part of her green endeavor, Bommai said.

The State Information department would develop an exclusive website of Thimmakka and to spread the spirit of her good work to entire country and a web series too would be produced on people who have dedicated their lives for the cause of the environment like Thimmakka, he said.

Government would soon issue the orders for allocation of 10 acres of land near Thimmakka’s native village. The BDA has already gifted a site for her. The State government would even build a house for her on the site, Bommai announced.
