A Bharatiya Janata Party worker and jeweller from Jammu, Rinku Chauhan, has created a handcrafted silver lotus to present to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, celebrating the party’s historic electoral success in West Bengal.

Chauhan, a long-time supporter of the Bharatiya Janata Party, said the creation symbolizes years of dedication and belief in the party’s growth in eastern India. Reflecting on the achievement, he remarked that he had waited nearly 15 years to see the lotus bloom in Bengal, referring to the BJP’s electoral symbol.

To commemorate the milestone, Chauhan spent two months meticulously crafting the lotus using approximately three kilograms of silver. Working late into the night, he focused on shaping every detail by hand, ensuring that the final piece reflected both artistic precision and emotional significance.

According to Chauhan, the silver lotus is more than just a decorative item. He described it as a tribute to the perseverance of party workers who have contributed to the BJP’s expansion in challenging political landscapes. He added that the gift is intended to honor Prime Minister Modi, whom he credits as a key प्रेरक force behind the party’s success.

Chauhan’s wife, Anjali Chauhan, highlighted the level of commitment involved in completing the artwork. She recalled how he often skipped meals and remained fully absorbed in the process, dedicating himself entirely to the project. Her account underscores the personal effort and passion that went into creating the piece.

The finished product is an intricately designed silver lotus, entirely handmade and polished to a fine finish. Chauhan now hopes that the symbolic gift will be accepted and displayed either at the Prime Minister’s residence or at the party’s headquarters in Delhi.

For Chauhan, the creation stands as a lasting reminder of what he sees as a significant political moment, as well as a personal expression of loyalty and pride in the party’s achievements.
