Shivamogga
A team of officials from the Election Commission of India (ECI) visited Shivamogga district to review polling booths and assess the overall election process.The officials took part in a training program for Booth Level Officers (BLOs) held at the Municipal Corporation Office, where they examined the basic duties and responsibilities of BLOs and later interacted with them.
Following the training session, the team conducted inspections at polling booths in the 111-Shivamogga Rural and 117-Sagar assembly constituencies. They checked whether the booths were equipped with the required minimum facilities, reviewed voting percentage data from previous parliamentary and assembly elections, and collected details on the number of voters newly added, omitted, and amended in the current electoral roll.
According to officials, the district visit was aimed at strengthening electoral preparedness, ensuring accuracy of the electoral roll, enhancing facilities for voters, and guaranteeing smooth conduct of the upcoming elections across Shivamogga district.
