A group of 38 international delegates has praised India’s electoral system, calling it a “true festival of democracy for the whole world,” highlighting the country’s large-scale and inclusive election management. The delegation, participating in a programme hosted by India’s election authorities, observed various aspects of voter registration, polling arrangements, and transparency measures that support the democratic process. They appreciated the efficiency, scale, and logistical coordination involved in conducting elections for hundreds of millions of voters across diverse regions. The visit also aimed to share global best practices in electoral management and strengthen cooperation between election bodies worldwide. Officials noted that such exchanges help improve democratic processes and reinforce trust in free and fair elections across countries going forward.
